Hi, I use Brause or Speedball nibs. Sounds like you need to adjust the slope of your board, so gravity can help. And if it’s a Mitchell nib probably gently rub down the underside of your nib so the ink sticks to it – they’re varnished and the ink resists so it either doesn’t write or it blobs. Check your reservoir is working. If still blobbing, take control by feeding the ink with a brush, so that not too much is on there.

I went to see this exhibition on the first day, all the work is of a very high standard, beatiful and inspiring. I would recommend it to anyone interested in Calligraphy and Art. I will go again before the exhibition ends
